Been a year since Asus uncovered its Keyboard PC, but have still not brought its product.
But what is a Keyboard PC?
For those who are wondering what a Keyboard PC is, it is a PC stuffed inside a keyboard. No with that I don’t mean the monitor or any such thing, all that goes inside the CPU tower is stuffed inside the keyboard. It may seem these PCs are wireless as they are inside the keyboard, but Keyboard PCs can be of both types – wireless and wired. Clearly a wired Keyboard PC is less costly than the wired one. Asus actually are working towards building both types of Keyboard PC, the wired Eee Keyboard PC and wireless Eee Keyboard PC. Also, these are touchscreen PCs.
While Asus is still processing its Keyboard PC, another company Norh Tec has just unveiled its Keyboard PC. The Keyboard PC is named ‘Gecko Surfboard”.
Few specifications of Gecko Surfboard Keyboard PC:
1Ghz Vortex86MX system-on-a-chip
Runs Windows XP, Linux, or Windows CE
512MB DDR2 RAM
SD/SDHC card support
Optional 2.5? hard drive storage
VGA and composite video out
2 x USB 2.0 ports

If you wish to add WiFi and that extra hard disk, the cost will be a little more. The NorhTec Gecko Surfboard which will be brought out in the market in January 2010 has memory, graphics, the processor, audio and all that packed inside the keyboard.
If you are buying Gecko Surfboard for Linux usage, the cost would be $99. And if you are buying it for Windows usage, the cost goes a little higher up to $149.
