    and? i will just buy an ip camera for much much much much less than what they initially charge you for. make that two ip cams or more in the long run as they charge you monthly too…so whats the plus here?…total bs

    that made me cringe seein that. What a loada rubbish n waste of resources. Hey guys this is what happens when big corps take over like o2be2gether they want a fingers in all the pies and the service slowly goes down the pan. Time to find another provider i think. Im paying for a upto 20meg service since oct and only getting 4meg average with regular drop outs despite spending hours a week starting at number 27 in the support queue, the burglar woulda been n gone by then. Nuff said

    I don’t have the home monitor service, but I have the value broadband package, I pay for 8Mbps, and they give me 10.1Mbps! So if you dont want to get bullcrap speeds that are less than advertised, get Be!

    Disclaimer: I don’t work for Be Broadband. :D

    Parents and paranoid people (and certainly paranoid parents) will love this facility. And if it bags a few thieving scum in the process it gets a thumbs up from me. Would be better if it filled the room with poison gas instead of taking a photo. That should be an option (with the risk of gassing an elderly relative).

    I absolutely love my BE connection! Downloads are ridiculously fast and speeds always constant. DNS issues solved using treewalk, although needs to get fixed permanently for casual non-tech members as it’s unfair to them. Now, if only i could move my house closer to the exchange lol.

    This seems like a pretty cool new service at a nice price – looks simple to use as well.

    Nice to see BE keep coming up with new ideas rather than stunting themselves like other ISPs.

    Easynet’s (parent company of UKO) rollout of ADSL2+ only really went “national” after Sky purchased them. Be* are still the ADSL2* pioneers in the UK, Easynet/Sky can’t ever take that title away retrospectively. The only truely national rollout of ADSL2+ will occur once 21cn upgrades are completed by BT.

    Homechoice where the first UK ISP to offer ADSL in the UK before BT. It was within the M25 area served off of Staples Corner.

  10. #10 by Andymanse8 at January 10th, 2009

    Yeah! The highest I got was 23MB! Sometimes 18-20MB because I have two computers using the internet. Be is the best ISP and has been awarded best Gaming Broadband of 2008!

    PLEASE “BE” AWARE
    PLEASE “BE” AWARE
    PLEASE “BE” AWARE

    Please “Be” aware, Be broadband are now capping their customers speeds at certain times of the day….They are going down the same route as Aol and Bt, There customer base must be biggest enough to now screw their customers.

    Wish I could get Be Unlimited. Am with Sky Broadband just now and it’s a complete joke. Paying for the Up to 8Mbps package, but often only go as high as 1Mbps. Can’t play online games or anything!

    There’s a big difference between mbps and Mb/s megabit and megabyte, there’s your confusion. Do a lil research on it, I was confused at one point also, though, you should be getting higher than 1Mb/s on a 8Mbps line I believe.

  20. #20 by darkdantepl at July 24th, 2009

    Cos you are either million miles from the local exchange or on SKY Connect which means crap BT IPStream broadband.
    I’m with UKOnline and it’s just perfect.

    Can anyone help me out? I currently have 2MB (which is actually 0.74MB for me) Sky Broadband.

    When I called Sky to ask about an upgrade to Unlimited Broadband (20MB, because I play online games and download a lot), they said an upgrade wouldn’t make any difference, because I live in such a rural area.

    Is this true? Or is an upgrade worth having?

    Thanks. =]

  22. #22 by McLaren9009 at December 19th, 2009

    @CloakedReapingDagger

    its all to do with how far away from your exchange, the further you are the less speed you will get, i get around 4 megs on o2 but if i lived in the town where my exchnage is i would get 18megs. go to “sam knows” (google search” and there, go on broadband checker, enter your details and then go on locally and it will tell you how far you are with black and blue dots.

    How do I use broadband to bring hypnotic controls to the masses through tv, radio, internet and their own telephones? Basically how do I get them engaged into an interest that they have so they watch with ummf so that I can intermingle it with my hypnotic applications and then control them with subtle suggestions. And how much would it cost for the basic system and programs? Don’t deny it, just say you don’t know if you don’t. If you do, relay it through my internet, cause I’m interested.find me
