I have just signed up with O2 Broadband and it has been working fine with the 02 modem they gave me. But I then changed to a Belkin modem and the internet stopped completely. So is there a way of using 02 Broadband with other modems?
How do you use O2 Broadband with other modems?

You’ll find now with most ISPs now that if they supply their own modems then only they can be used. It’s something to do with the chip coding inside them.
If it’s not the right code being transmitted from the modem to the ISP servers, then you wont get logged on. Their system, their equipment, their rules about connecting unauthorised equipment.
