Is there any way I could connect to my non-wireless broadband router wirelessly with my laptop?

I’ve just got a new laptop that has wireless capability so I want to be able to get onto my internet with it, but we don’t have wireless internet in the house.
We have BT broadband with a BT Voyager that isn’t wireless. Is there any way of connecting to this broadband with my laptop other than plugging it in with the cable?

BT Traffic Managed broadband vs. BE Unlimited Broadband

Test performed at 6:51pm on 28th Jan 2010. For months I have been frustrated by the performance with downloading Flash Player on BT Internet. Today I finally got a chance to test them side by side and record the results. For your interest, the same test performed earlier in the day at 2:30pm (not peak time) resulted in the full line speed on the BT line. Just in the evening when traffic management kicks in, performance for p2p and (as you see) even legitimate downloads becomes terrible!

What is the cheapest and best Broadband Package?

Please can somebody advise me on the cheapest broadband deal. I am
currently with BT Broadband, and I pay £15.99 per month, plus my
quarterly BT service fees of around £36.

A friend has recommended that I switch to Sky Broadband, as they
reckon I will save money. However, there are so many packages that I
am totally confused as to which would be the best one for me. So this
is what I need to know:

a. My mum is also paying a separate BT phone bill, so how could we
save money here?

b. Our current Sky Package for the ordinary TV is £32.00 per month, so
how would signing up to Sky Broadband affect this amount?

c. If I cancelled my BT Broadband line (which is connected upstairs in
my bedroom), would we need a Sky engineer to come out and re-connect
both my mum’s phone downstairs and also my own Broadband connection?

I hope you can help, as we really do need to save money here.

Thanks.

How can is monitor how my upload and download usage for my broadband?

I’m with BT Broadband option 1, which gives you 10 GB download Allowance per month. The problem is every month i keep getting bills of excess download usage. Last month i had a bill of £23 excess download penalty. This is really irritation, as BT doesn’t provide you with any sort of software or website that monitors your Download usage. Is there any software that i can use to monitor my upload and download usage?
