MagicJack VoIP Revolutionary Communication Tool
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in VOIP on May 27th, 2010
www.TheInnerCircleMasters.com Magic Jack officially launched in March 2008 where they have been giving away the magic jack device and a year’s worth of long distance in the us and canada for free. A second year can be had for just more. The magic jack actually cost me for the unit and shipping and the first year’s service, but considering all the alternatives out there, this is by far the coolest and cheapest feature filled telephone service I’ve come across. The magic jack also gets kudos for being mac compatible – assuming you are running a newer mac with the Intel processors. Magic jack is true to their word as far as initial set-up goes. After removing the unit from it’s packaging and plugging in the optional USB extension cord, I plugged in my phone jack at one end and the magic jack into my computer’s USB port. It should be noted that for whatever reason, magic jack says you can’t plug it into a hub for it to work. After launching the magicJack application, it walks you through the registration process where you enter your email, password, home address etc. Then you get to pick an area code from a list of dozens of metropolitan markets across the United States. You don’t have to pick a local number exchange unless you want to. Once that’s complete, you are ready to rock and roll. You also get caller ID, call waiting and voice mail free with the magicJack service. Setting up voice mail is simple enough as the menu walks you through it so you can personalize …

Apple Mac. Is it good for games?
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in Games on January 29th, 2010
More and more video games for the Macintosh are coming onto the market. The Mac offers an amazingly diverse and vibrant gaming experience, including action, adventure, role-playing, sports, kid’s games and just about any other game genre you’d be interested in. The newest versions of the Macintosh also offer an application which is easy for users to install and lets them run Windows games on their Mac computers. Earlier Macs weren’t as friendly to gaming, but today’s Macs make it easier to port many video games. The Macintosh, whether it’s running the Mac OS or a system that runs Windows, provides performance that is about the same as that of similarly-equipped Windows PCs.
Ideally, Macintosh games would be created at the same time as the Windows version of the games. This may be the ideal situation, but it rarely happens. Only a few companies create games for Mac and Windows computers at the same time.
Typically, the high-end games that come to the Macintosh actually were originally developed for Microsoft Windows. These games are then later ported over to the Mac system by one of the few porting house companies that are out there. Two early video games that were ported to Mac were Microsoft Flight Simulator in 1986 and SimCity in 1988. One famous exception was 1993’s Myst, which actually was developed on the Mac and ported over to Windows a year later.
Because most Mac games are not developed at the same time as the version for Windows, the Macintosh rollout tends to lag behind the Windows version of the game, typically by several months. This is the way it usually happens with high-end games that need a lot of time to play and have intense graphics. But there are many companies out there today that now develop original Mac games that are more casual. These games have simple graphics and can be played in short bursts of time, like downloadable mini games. Various categories of these games are available, including puzzle games, arcade games, hidden object games for mac, jigsaw games and others.
The fact that there is not enough shelf space for most brick and mortar stores to carry a full line of Mac video games is one thing to think about when you are looking for games for the Macintosh. The Mac has a small share of the computer market, so it doesn’t make sense for these stores to stock up on Mac games. It is easy, however, to do a Google search for Mac games-related websites.
Playing PC games using a Windows-based operating system on the Macintosh is another choice for Mac users. This can be done is several different ways. Ever since Intel processors were first used in Mac computers, Mac users have been able to simultaneously run the Mac OS alongside Windows without having to reboot. Several free applications are available on the Internet for Macintosh users to set this up on their computers.
Whether you are playing a video game through the Windows operating system or you are playing a game that’s exclusive to the Mac on the OS, the Macintosh experience is every bit as rich and compelling as on any PC.
Macbook Docking Station – Shall You Get That?
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on November 7th, 2009
Like for car mp3 player or GPS navigation there is a docking station for Mac as well… An Apple notebook can turn into a more operational unit with the help of a Mackbook docking station. The most recent Apple notebooks are highly compatible with the released docking stations that replicate all the ports and connectors specific to the Macbook. They now provide the opportunity to keep the computer independent from the appliances available for desk use. While there are autonomous docking station models that can charge and power an appliance such as an iPod, not the same thing is valid for a larger device.
When shopping for a Macbook docking station, you may feel disappointed at the limited number of available options. Critics claim that Apple falls far behind Microsoft in the design of docking technologies. The BookEndz is considered the best of Macbook docking station solutions but even this one does not provide a simple plug that connects all the appliances together. With this limitation in mind, it is difficult to find an elegant option to the separate power and monitor cables. Does this mean that a basic Macbook docking station is no more different than a regular USB hub?
Good news comes from Kensington that has come up with a Macbook docking station, which may satisfy Apple users for a while, until the Mac producers come up with another viable solution. Nevertheless, for the moment, the BookEndz remains the best product available in terms of financial affordability. The prices of the new Macbook docking station models are expecting to reach up to 0 for the most advanced versions, and not all Mac users will be willing to pay that much money even if it means increasing their computer mobility. Are these gadgets really increasing your Mac’s efficiency?
As for home users, the Macbook docking station is not that practical if they have a USB hub available for plugging in the rest of the desk devices. This stays valid for low-tech conditions, but things get complicated when it comes to the desk connection of a Macbook for business purposes. Having the option of integrating all the appliances without the entanglement of cables and the individual connections of the devices on the laptop ports would keep the notebook mobile and better to use between offices or when away from the office. This is where the applications improvement gains most!
Windows PC Versus Apple Mac – Differences and Similarities
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on July 2nd, 2009
Computers have become one of the most dominant parts of our world. Most everything is now computerized from internal car functions to sophisticated government weapons and security systems. Most everyone has at least one computer at home, if not two of them. Todays sophisticated computer data management systems have allowed offices the freedom from the tedious paper filling systems of the past.
As opposed to several years ago, these days most anyone can afford a quality computer as they have gotten cheaper while becoming more sophisticated and technologically advanced. Cheap computers and cheap laptops of all brands and models, including, Dell computers, HP, Gateway, Apple and most other popular brands of computers are readily available with the many cheap online shopping sites.
In the world of computers consumers basically have two options to choose from that have dominated the computer market, the Windows based PC and the Apple Mac computers.
The personal computer (PC) is a composite of streamlined and user-friendly utility for business and pleasure. It is a combination of sophisticated data melded together with brightly designed programs and apps. Programs like Word and Excel make Windows PC’s integral for data processing and work. The PC is dynamic, as it not only serves the need of the businessman but also the pleasure seeker who relishes the excitement of game play. Even the businessman will satisfy his fancy by playing a trivial amount of “Half-Life.”
The Mac is actually not that much different from the PC. In fact, a lot of the PC is seen on the Mac and vice-versa.
The Mac appeals to youngsters and is marketed as a hip, popular, and trendy brand. Without even looking into the internal functions of the Mac, its appearance and design makes it a “fun” device. The concept of ‘fun’ is inherent in Apple’s systems. With the advent of the enriching design and eclectic I-phone and I-pod, a MAC has become naturally a ‘fun’ product. The Mac, therefore, markets itself as a dynamic brand that exudes fun and commands high gaming performance.
The Mac is therefore a product that is more for pleasure than substantive business. As previously mentioned the differences are consice with what Apple Macs puport to be, playful and media oriented. The PC is designed more for function rather than flare. Nevertheless, the PC has its share of dynamic designs to lend credence to its competitive nature with its adversary, the Mac.
If one seeks high end media oriented performance exclusively with basic utilities for word processing and related applications than the platform is the MAC. If one seeks a combination of media applications with dependable word processing and related programs, than the best fit is the PC.
