Harrowing Survival Horror Gameplay Courtesy Of Genre Master Silent Hill Shattered Memories
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on March 20th, 2010
The Silent Hill franchise barely needs an introduction, for the gaming series has become a milestone of mastery in the survival horror style. The long line of titles has stretched over various consoles over many years, and continues to bring impressive and genuinely spine -chilling gameplay to our screens. This pattern continues with the most recent production for the PSP and PSP Go!- Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.
This title is really a copy of the Wii counterpart released in 2009, and the transfer to the small screen has been impressively popular. The formula for Silent Hill: Shattered Memories is familiar but welcome; you’re Harry Mason, who awakens following a crash to find his daughter gone astray within Silent Hill. This abandoned place ranges from forboding creepiness to complete terror as its demonic inhabitants begin to reveal themselves, and the PSP’s graphical edge doesn’t disappoint.
Some fascinating and innovative gaming ploys are employed in Silent Hill: Shattered Memories. Firstly, the much discussed ‘running’ sequences from the Wii version are carried through. These find Harry defenceless and thus solely able to flee from his attackers, and thus you engage in a very terrifying interactive scene as you attempt to escape from those clawing at your back.
Secondly, as gamers progress through the storyline, the gameplay is interspersed with sections involving Harry talking about life with a psychologist. This character can ask general questions about life, his attitude to women etc. The answers you choose will really have an impact on the numerous places you visit and also the characters/enemies you meet. This obviously opens Silent Hill: Shattered Memories up for multiple playthroughs to determine everything.
This game certainly continues the long line of impressive offerings from the Silent Hill series; combining the tried and tested formula with new and innovative gameplay aspects. If you’re a fanatic of the notoriously creepy survival horror, then Silent Hill: Shattered Memories should be a clear choice!
Looking Into The Dynamic PSP Go Features
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on March 11th, 2010
The most recent release of Sony’s gaming portables is the PSP Go, disclosed in Q4 of 2009 at the E3 gaming show. The PSP Go features are significantly different to previous machines in the line, and unite to supply a classy and practical alternative to the regular line.
The first, and probably most talked about, of the PSP Go features to stray from classic models is the absence of the UMD drive. Prior versions have used this media outlet for both games and videos, but the PSP Go drops it completely. Instead, Sony intend for all software on the PSP Go to be downloaded onto the sixteen GB of built-in memory. This revolutionary ploy will be aided by the PS store, which is compiling a huge catalogue of titles and movies to be supplied with the PSP Go features.
The previously discussed 16 GB of memory is flash based, and can be increased to 32 GB with a memory stick micro. This PSP Go feature offers a huge stock of memory so players will not be stumped for space. The screen is a little reduced since the PSP 3000, but presents a much more focussed picture at 480×272 pixels. The compact screen shelf is slid upwards to reveal the buttons and directional pad, which also offers an analogue stick.
The PSP Go keeps all the basic features of its original, including wi-fi accessibility and connectivity to the PS store both on its own or through a PS3. Sony are busying themselves to make all prior UMDs accessible in the store, and game players can also access ‘Minis’, a new set of less expensive titles from fan-favourite ranges such as Tetris and Megaman.
And so there’s a brief intro to the PSP Go features. The machine retains the classic feel and features of the original, whilst presenting a dynamic new finish and innovative media capacities. Sony have said that exclusively downloading titles is the dream for all videogames in the long run, and so the PSP Go is preparing the ground for a fresh step in gaming legend.

Sony PSP-4000 On Its Way?
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on January 6th, 2010
{Needless to mention the popular Sony PSPs are|Sony PSPs are way too famous} among people and they are always asking for a new PSP from Sony. Recently in October Sony launched its PSP GO.
A little About Sony PSP GO
PSP GO is a 3.8 inch screen with 16 GB inbuilt HDD. Sony’s new PSP GO is much more smaller and lighter in weight than that of the original PSP-1000. To be precise, the difference is of 50%. That’s a lot.
One good thing about PSP GO was that it was compatible with all the then existing Playstation accessories of previous PSPs. To make the Sony PSP compatible with all accessories, a converter cable Adaptor was used. The Converter helped in connection between the PSP and the accessories. The accessories were mounted on the PSP, and this was where the entire problem arouse. The PSP was no more portable. And Portability is one major feature of PSPs. This inability to move with PSP was the biggest downside on PSP GO.
That left only one alternative – buy new compatible accessories. Again a big downside – spend a good amount of money. In any case, people were at loss.
Okay, coming to the actual topic, this was the last PSP from Sony I heard of. But after reading one blog, I am waiting yet another upgraded version of PSP from Sony. What you will read below is not my opinion, this is what I read on the blog
And now rumors have it that Sony is working towards bringing out a new PSP – PSP 4000. And this one is supposed to co exist with PSP Go! However, nothing been confirmed by Sony yet. In fact Sony denies any such PSP is in making. And says the news was a error from the Sony team.
