Which is the best phone with good camera and Wifi available?

I’m looking for a phone with a decent camera which also has Wifi connectibility. I don’t really want an Iphone as the camera isn’t that great. But I do love all the gadget quality!! Sony Ericsson is my favourite make at the moment and I like the C905, not sure i can find something similar or better!

How do I get text messages off a phone's memory card to transfer them to a new phone?

I have saved my text messages on to the phone’s memory card on my Sony Ericsson W890i. I have now got a Sony Ericsson T700. I have out the same memory card into the new phone, but the messages, although saved on the card, do not appear on the new phone. Is there any way of fixing this?

Xperia Pureness:World’s First See-Through Cell Phone

Now this is something you all will love to know about. I was amazed at the fact that we could have such a mobile phone. I mean cell phone which can see-through! Yes, world’s first mobile phone through which you can see things.

Recently SE launched its eco-friendly cell phones, Hazel and Elm, made out of recycled plastics to add to its GreenHeart portfolio. And now we have yet another phone from SE-Xperia Pureness. It was first shown up in UK with a price tag of 530 pounds, and now it launched in US at a price of $990, which is quite a good figure. However, there is an additional facility US gets for this the high amount – the user is given Xperia Pureness Concierge Services. One could use it to find out if any event is happening around the world. Or get to know about any other happening place in US. That’s definitely a good feature, but slightly expensive for $990.

One reason Why Xperia Pureness is not Hot:

The world’s first of its kind cell phone which lets you to see through it looses out on many other functions like WIFI, GPS, camera, touch screen and a little more features. Xperia Pureness has GSM support network, FM radio, and Bluetooth and music playback. It’s like you win some, you loose some. Those who love to flash their cell phones can probably splurge this sum of money on Xperia Pureness. But those who want nice functions in the phone they buy, no Sony Ericson’s new launch(Xperia Pureness) is not for them.

Though, the fact that Sony Ericson’s Xperia Pureness acts like a see-through media and lets you see through it surely makes it an unique cell phone. To see what the phone actually looks like, click here (Sony Ericson Pureness Comes To US…you will get to see a pile of books through the phone’s screen).

Sony Ericsson Launches Two New Phones

Recently Samsung had brought out an eco-friendly cell phone, the Samsung Blue Earth, which is made out of recycled materials and its usage doesn’t harm the environment. The phone truly is good but has few not very acceptable things – for being eco-friendly the phone had to compromise on its looks and features. And now we are soon going to see two phones from Sony Ericsson, which are also eco-friendly and assures not to spoil or damage the environment, and all without trading its designs and functionality with the environmental care it brings with it. Yes, Hazel and Elm, the two going to be introduced Sony Ericsson mobile phones are both prepared from recycled plastics and are not harmful to the surroundings. Some good news for the environmentalists.

Hazel and Helm, as these two cell phones are named, are not very different in nature, only the size of the screen and dimensions vary a little. Most of the functions are almost similar among the two phones. Take a quick look at features of Hazel and Elm:

Features of Hazel:

2.6? TFT touchscreen, 240 x 320 pixels
5MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection
Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP
micro USB v2.0

micro SD  support up to 16GB

Accelerometer sensor

Splash-resistant

Little aboutElm:

3G, HSDPA 900 / 2100
2.2? TFT, 240 x 320 pixels
5MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face and smile detection
Bluetooth V2.1 with A2DP
micro USB v2.0
microSD support up to 16GB
Accelerometer sensor
Splash-resistant

Sony is to  launch both these phones in only two colors – each in two different colors. Hazel is mostly to be in Black or Rouge. And Elm will be in Metal Black or Pearly Rose. The phones will be launched in early months of 2010. And hopefully users like the two phones, and more of it gets used. And perhaps this may mark the beginning of all and only eco-friendly cell phones in the market.

Satio Going the Aino Way

Sony Ericsson seems to be going through real tough times. After all the news of Aino (priced EUR 420 [US $ 620]) being facing problems with some touchscreen problem (Though SE says Aino issue was a media rumor and states that Aino has been doing perfectly), now it’s the Sony Ericsson Satio (it was previously called Idou). Satio seems to be having some software bug issue. Like Aino, Satio too is not anymore on the. Incidentally, Satio and Aino were introduced together; and looks like they are both sailing in the same boat. SE though, along with Carphone Warehouse, is reluctant to accept the fact that Satio and Aino have been pulled off the market. You may read more about the Aino issue in detail here- Sony Ericsson Runs Into Trouble With Touchscreen Issue On Aino.

Although Sony Ericsson denies the fact that there is any major problem, it has released a firmware to fix the bug and also speed up the process. However, the new firmware is available only in some parts out of all Satio markets.

People who have used this firmware are satisfied as it seemed to solve the issue (the bug). But again, this is applicable to certain section of Satio users which has the access to this firmware.

The firmware not being available to all Satio user looks a little strange as this may result in Sony Ericsson’s sales falling down (the drop in the Sony Ericsson cell phone sales already indicate that)

The Satio mobile phone is one that is on the expensive side (with a high price tag of EUR 550 [US $ 800]), but now looks like it may cost people and Sony Ericsson more than a fortune.  With both highly talked about mobile phones not living up to customer’s expectations, and being not on sale can cause Sony Ericsson a amount of loss.

Sony Ercisson’s Aino Into Trouble

A couple of days back I wrote about Sony Ericsson’s SenseMe technology headset that worked on ear’s skin motion. The headset comes with its advantages and disadvantages. The advantage is it is fully automatic – stops the music itself, takes incoming calls and plays back the music. Disadvantages of this automatic buttonless headset are that it works only with Sony Ericsson cell phones with Fast Port. So that leaves you with not many options. Well, that was about the new launch from Sony Ericsson. But here is some serious news – Aino, the PlayStation compatible phone from SE, has run into touch screen issue.

With Aino facing error,, SE can no longer put Aino, which was priced for EUR 420 (US 0), on sale. yet another Sony Ericsson model Satio (initially named Idou) that features a 12MP camera was delayed because of some software bug (SE had launched Aino and Satio at the same time along with three other cell phones – Yari, Jalou, and Naite. So, totally two of SE’s much expected devices are not going to be introduced to market any time soon.

Sony Ericcson (SE) may have introduced much advanced headset technologies but it’s losing out on its better devices.

I didn’t really know Sony Ericsson has had troubles since its initial days in the cell phone until I read what someone had written – “Sony Ericsson is certainly having a tough time and for some reason I always find their software buggy and slow, right from the T610 (which was a great phone in its time IMO) to the K750i / K850i that I used. Hope they get on the right track with better Smartphone than just wow gadgets.”

I have never used a Sony Ericsson, so I don’t really know how good or bad these phones are.
