Choosing a Reliable Brand of GPS Watches

Each time you encounter the brand “Casio”, the word “watch” quickly registers in your mind, since Casio has long been one of the better respected watch companies nowadays. Casio is generally associated with its popular and affordable watches, worn by folks from all walks of life. Another nice model is the Suunto Vector Wrist-Top Computer Watch.

Whenever you plan on purchasing a watch which is not just stylish but also consistent with regards to showing the accurate time, then Casio will be the company for you. Casio watches are original and are designed to be used for different life styles. However, the mention of words “Casio GPS watch” is not quite so familiar. What is a Casio GPS watch?

The Casio GPS watch is a watch for outdoor sportsmen which allows them to keep an eye on their location and course, as well as allowing them to monitor their speed and distance for a variety of outdoor activities. Casio GPS watches are available in different styles which live up to the expectations of the most discerning consumers. For the use of interested readers, some of their most recent models are listed below.

The Casio GPR- 100

The Casio GPR-100, the most compact GPS enabled chronometer, was introduced to the public not too long ago. Touted as the world’s smallest GPS compatable watch, it provides all the features available in each Casio watch as well as the cutting edge technology of a GPS. This watch is waterproof, and as a result it is useful for watersports. It interfaces with GPS satellites to measure speed and distance, while at the same time figuring your route should you stray from your usual path. It additionally offers a built-in calendar, stop watch, alarm and backlit display for after dark. This timepiece is fitted with a lithium battery whose life depends upon the battery capacity. But seeing as the battery is diminutive like the watch, it can power the GPS for only 2 to 4 hours. You may also want to look at the Suunto Vector Wrist-Top Computer Watch.

The PAT 2 GP-IV

Casio’s PAT 2 GP-IV is powered by a built–in rechargeable lithium ion battery. Created to be the new Satellite NAVI watch, it is manufactured to be a lot lighter and smaller than previous GPS watches. Its high-tech PC compatable software will help the consumer to load GPS data from the device and manage it in nearly any personal computer. The owner may plot a starting point, a landmark or two and final position on the digital readout. As with the GPR 100, Casio’s PAT 2 GP-IV is resistant to moisture from dew, sweat and other sources. The PAT 2 GP-IV watch, since it is unobtrusive and light weight, is not particularly bulky and is not uncomfortable when strapped to the racer’s arm. The rechargeable batteries free you from the drudgery of removing and replacing expensive batteries.

The Pro-Trek Navi Satellite

Regarded as the prototype GPS watch, the Pro-Trek Navi Satellite GPS watch comes with multiple definitive advantages, some of which are a less obtrusive form, rechargeable batteries and water resistant casings. Several other useful capabilities make the Navi an ideal timepiece for athletes. Landmarks are able to be programmed in the GPS function to mark your proper coordinates. The Navi Satellite GPS will also record satellite almanac data in its memory. This data can be referenced as necessary to determine the proper position of the satellite, therefore conserving time and battery power. Once the position of the satellite is fixed, your position is automatically worked out. The Suunto Vector Wrist-Top Computer Watch is another nice unit to consider.

The Casio GPS watches give outdoor sports enthusiasts exactly what they are looking for since everyone’s budget is tight; a well-made, multifunctional piece of equipment which earns its keep. A Casio GPS watch is a time piece, trail guide, GPS unit, and running companion who won’t trail behind.

What is Your Best Game on Wii Sports?

The Wii has become one of the best selling consoles ever. People who would have never even considered buying a Wii in the past, now flock to the shops to get a console. With a default console, there is one game which people always play and that is Wii Sports. But let’s have a look at the more gratifying games on Wii sports and see the reasons for it.

Wii Tennis

Wii Tennis is probably my favorite game, simply because it is the one that gives the most action to you. Wii Tennis is particularly good when you play with somebody else, because it does incline to get rather competitive as time goes by.

Wii Golf

If you are looking for a slightly more modest workout then Wii Golf is probably your best choice. I am an avid golf player and the game, from the swing shots to the puts are exactly how you would expect them to be in a real life situation. The only thing lacking is the appease breeze that you get while walking along a adorable green.

Wii Bowling

My third choice would probably have to be bowling, this game is an absolute winner and although it has a few problems it is quite enjoyable when playing with a group of friends. Obviously it is not as good as visiting the actual bowling alley, but I can ascertain you that it is the succeeding best thing.

Wii Baseball

Probably my most disliked game in the whole package, I say this because it’s quite unresponsive when you play it and it can get quite annoying when it boils down to it. There are also a few more games which just do not cut it in my opinion.

EA Sports To Release Exclusive Range Of Toys

Global computer animator, EA Sports have recently announced that they will be providing the branding for a new range of sports equipment created by Toy Island. The high tech “virtual coaching tools”, which will use motion and infrared sensors, are being designed for children of the ages of three to twelve which is a very large and broad spectrum.

The various sports that the equipment will be built for is baseball, American Football, Basketball, Hockey and ‘Soccer’ or more commonly known as Football. There is even talk that they may bring out their own range of surfboards. EA Sports boss Peter Moore said that “Our goal is to take the EA Sports brand much deeper into the fabric of sports, and into new markets that allow more people to unleash their inner spirit of both sports and competition.
Considering that EA Sports are more known for their prominence in the computer animation game industry this is a very interesting development for them. It will add so much to the already enormous brand and is sure to almost double their profits. This new idea will also open the doors for new relationships to be carved with local retailers and will get the EA Sports brand recognised on a much larger scale than ever before. Among the aids due to be released you can expect things like, footballs, shin pads, football boots, action figures, snowboards and many more are still to be announced.

It is understandable that EA will be looking to branch out of the norm, especially in such an un-predictable time in terms of our global economy. It is pretty wise of Electronic Arts to be looking outside of computer animation and into toy making because it is broadening their profit revenue stream. Many companies have been put into liquidation recently because of their lack of knowledge on the market. In order to help keep your business up and standing on its own two feet you will need to diversify the products in your business. This is absolutely imperitive.
