Protect Yourself Against Gadget Failure With Insurance
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on February 22nd, 2010
The advancements in technology within the last decade has been great, no doubt about it. With new recent breakthroughs in the form of the new iPhone being able to recognise voice recognition to the new announcement that Microsofts Project Natal for the Xbox 360 is set to have full body motion sensing capabilities with no wires and nothing plugged into you in any way at all.
However, what happens when a part inside breaks? In some cases, the costs to repair the gadgets can be more than you initially paid for them. The majority of the time when they go wrong, it’s down to the manufacturer for not making it well to begin with. Although the Xbox 360 has been proven to be the best console in this latest console generation, it does have one problem with it. The 3 red rings. Now to any Xbox 360 owner the three red rings would be like handing your wallet over to a criminal. Unless you are still within your warranty you are looking at paying at least 50 to have to send it off to be repaired for a problem that should not have been there in the first place.
This never used to happen with consoles such as N64 and PS1 but now we are not only seeing failures from the 360 point of view but more and more PS3s and Nintendo Wiis are being sent off for repair. It could be down to more people are playing games due to the huge amount being released within the last few months, or, it could be down to the manufacturers not fixing the problems and just selling more machines.
There is a solution to this and it comes from gadget insurance. This can be bought for up to 5 of any gadgets and it will set you back only 20 pound a month. Although this seems a lot it is cheaper than having to go out and pay for repairs to your products. This is mainly due to the fact that if for instance you were to drop your iPhone it would cost you around 100 to repair. So if you look at it from that perspective 20 a month for insuring five gadgets is a better deal than having to pay 100 for something that you could drop again and again. As well as this when it comes to fixing consoles such as the Nintendo Wii it is actually cheaper to buy a new console than top fix it which again is going to cost you a whopping 180.
Also, if you are only looking to insure one item and not 5, no matter what type of gadget it is, you can simply pay for Xbox 360 Insurance seperately. Unfortunately, a great deal of home emergency insurance policies don’t cover any damage or theft to your gadgets.
The Several Styles Of Wii Chipping
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in Games on January 27th, 2010
The Assorted Manners Of Wii Chipping So you purchased a Nintendo Wii and had fun with all the computer games that are available in the marketplace. You played till break of the day or until your video games DVD just gave up on you and right away you don’t want to spend more money on buying the same computer game once more. Or you could download a range of homebrew emulators and play the Megadrive, N64, SNES, PS1 on your Nintendo Wii. Well look no farther, because this is a guide to assure you how you can do just that. There are different means of going about it, the most common process of Wii chipping is by utilising a ‘Nintendo Wii chip’. The verdict is still out on the title for the greatest Wii modchip so you need to work that for yourself (the WiiKey stands out though). You will need a couple of tools like screwdrivers and soldering irons in addition to the physical modchip, not to note the heart to dismantle your console and install it. You can also buy solderless chips but you must ensure you order the right modchip which is compatible with your specific revision of the Wii system, if you get it wrong it can get difficult and your Wii chipping experience will be like banging your head against a wall. The trouble with installing a modchip is that you extend the risk of damaging your Nintendo Wii games system (killing it). So to be completely safe, there is a new way to mod your Wii without a modchip entirely, i.e. using a softmod. A soft modification is by far the better and the smoothest way to do exactly that. Simply download and set up and you could be playing copys of your video games before you can say “Wow! That was easy!”. In addition to playing copys and homebrew, you can also run video games from earlier Nintendo consoles and even some other systems and DVD films as well. It grants you a perfect step by step walk-through so even a noob can set it up. And it does not cost a big wedge like the assorted other modchips available. And best of all, no expensive tools like soldering irons are needed; It’s your safest method of Wii chipping. Happy gaming!
What To Remember When Playing Video Game Systems
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in Games on January 9th, 2010
Not so long ago, people were content with watching television, movies or DVDs, listening to music on the radio or playing games on their computers. Today’s generation thirst for more. What they want is a better alternative for entertainment, and the one that involves interaction. Thanks to the presence of video game systems, interactive entertainment is now made possible.
If you are in your 20s, you have experienced how much fun it is to play your Super Nintendo. Crash Bandicoot, Street Fighter and Super Mario Brothers. These are just some of the more familiar games that you played with your Nintendo during your younger years. The much younger generation of today is fond of their Sony PlayStation, X-Box Gaming Console, PSP and Nintendo Wii.
What is the real difference between the video game systems of yesterday and the present time? Well, the best answer to give is the interactivity. During earlier times, the joystick was probably the only medium through which we play games and interact with another player, or with the virtual world that we see through the screen. Today, video game systems require more than just the joystick that we used to use. Now, there are far other accessories and gadgets needed depending on the type of gaming console that you have. More than just using your fingers, most of today’s video game systems require the movement of arms and legs in order to play the game the right way.
The good part is that a player is not considered a couch potato anymore. This is primarily because he is obliged to do various movements with different parts of his body for the sake of playing the video game the proper way. Say the Nintendo Wii for example, it offers various games that allow physical activities while playing them. So not only are you enjoying the game, you are also exercising your body at the same time.
Video game systems of today are made more interactive, that is why it is very attractive to the younger generation. Kids as young as 4 years old already know how to play video games. Since the graphics are much more sophisticated making them look like they are real, more and more people have become interested in playing these games. The creators of these games are brilliant in making them look like a real place or person making these video games more interesting for audiences of almost all generations.
As the majority of today’s video game systems are very easy to use and play, even younger kids can learn fast on how to play them. For parents who have kids that are fond on playing those gaming consoles, make sure that you are able to supervise when they play certain games as they may not be suitable for their young age. Certain video games may include violence that can affect the way of life of your child later as he grows up. Of course, these games do not intend to do harm to its audience, but just bring total entertainment for the whole family. They are mainly created for the purpose of pure entertainment. Just to be sure, it is suggested that you let your children play the video games that are perfectly suited for their age.

Xbox 360 Accessories: Starting At The Power Supply All The Way To The Sorcery Eye, What Will Be Next?
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in General on December 5th, 2009
An Xbox 360 Power Supply is the most unconsidered of all Xbox 360 accessories.Yet it’s the first thing that’s’s turned on, the first step of a fun packed gaming session. Actually, it’s what broadcasts the mandatory juice to fuel all those adventures! The Xbox 360 Power Supply ( infrequently called a Power Brick ), is what makes everything and that is literally everything possible. The Xbox 360 Power Supply must be strong to deal with the electronic rigors of modern gaming today.Without the right gear, your system might as well toast bread.
But who believes of such things when it comes to electronic entertainment? The standard Xbox 360 power supply isn’t extraordinarily good looking, to be sure. In a period of immersive experiences and online slaughter-fests, something similar to the Xbox 360 power brick doesn’t sound like anything to gloat about.
Gameplayers, especially those with an interest in private computing ( the Xbox is at heart, an individual PC gussed up as a games console, after all ), love to discuss about hardware, and deliberating a pleasant new Xbox 360 power supply system doesn’t quite excite anybody. It’s not like getting Microsoft’s forthcoming sorcery eye, for instance. Basically an electronic eye mounted separately from the console, this device will continuously relay spatial info to the console to be used with software incorporating human kinetics in its gameplay. So no more hand held controllers, even wireless this is the last controller, the ultimate wireless debatable of every one of them : your own body! Yes, your motions will be caught and translated into onscreen actions accordingly, for the kind of immersive experience only imagined by science-fiction and cartoon books till now. Due on the market in another year or 2, this device will even track your eyeball movements! So does the line be further blurred between man and machine as the user becomes the user interface himself.
Imagine playing a first-person shooter like radiance or Gong of honour where turning your head right causes your onscreen viewpoint to modify accordingly, with views rightwards of your change ego viewed in accordance with your off-screen real-world movements!More than any hardware controller possible this device (coming soon) will on it’s own redefine videogaming.
So while today’s Xbox 360 games are quite complex, the Xbox 360 Accessories on the horizon will need software that rethinks the whole onscreen / offscreen divide. Hardware and software exist in a symbiotic relationship, and it’ll be engaging to see what transpires next now the hardware has taken a quantum leap forward!
Which brings us right back to the basic power supply. For without reference to how fancy everything gets, reliable juice is the first duty of any operation. And a good strong power brick and robust power rope will remain integral to the reality of next-generation gaming until the coming of Tesla-like wireless electricity! Until then, if your Xbox 360 Power Supply becomes bankrupt make sure to buy the original new part only places like Braigo.com offer them at a massive discount, do not gamble your delicate Xbox 360 to any O.E.M Power Supplies.
This Weeks Chart Report From Chart Track
Posted by 0845 Telephone Numbers in Games on October 7th, 2009
This weeks piece of video game news coming below. GfK Chart track has once again released the weekly all formats gaming charts and they have seen Wii Sports Resort once again climb to the top spot, only just beating the recent Wolfenstein release.
Wii Sports Resort was previously number 1 on all formats until it was knocked off by Ashes Cricket 2009 for two weeks, however, now it has managed to yet again take top spot. Reclaiming this sport now means the title has been at the top for 15 weeks since it’s release earlier this year.
Unfortunately, Activision wasn’t able to claim the number 1 spot with their recent release, Wolfenstein. Missing only 2000 sales, Wolfenstein only managed the number 1 spot for the Ps3, Xbox 360 and PC charts, just not the all formats chart.
Although Activision are a little disappointed that they didn’t claim the top spot, they should still be happy with second place, plus still having Call of Duty: World at War and Prototype still within the top 10 sellers.
However, Activision and Nintendo might both be knocked off the top spots with the release of Batman: Arkham Asylum this week. This game has already become extremely popular within the pre-order charts, also, with the release of the demo a few weeks ago, sites that do video game reviews have been going crazy. I definately won’t be shocked to see the new Batman game claim number 1 sport in the charts.
To finish this post off, here is the top 20 all format charts created by Chart Track, all of which have been given very high video game ratings.
- Wii Sports Resort
- Wolfenstein
- Ashes Cricket 2009
- Wii Fit

- Fifa 09

- Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
