So continuing with the tanks throughout history really I will start with WW2

WW2

Again WW2 wasn’t a time in which tanks made the most of cable ties and Hellermann tyton but it has to be the time where tanks were used to win battles rather than just as an extra. Without the tank developing it would be safe to say that WW2 would not have finished the way that it did. During this time the tank really came into play and it was turned from a heap of metal to the best used weapons system in the war.

Heinz Guderian who was a tactical theoretician actually stated before WW2 that “where tanks are, the front is” and this of course became reality during the course of WW2.

Tanks were actually the centre point to the entire Blitzkrieg tactics that Hitler had thought up. Radio was key and for Hitler it really helped as he stuck many radios in the tanks so they could communicate with eachother. Hitler used his idea to get a hold of France as well as Poland. It was Hitler that helped when it came to the allies looking to get more technology on the tanks. France was defeated in a matter of weeks and it was this that kicked the Allies up the backside to get them to build better tanks.

Of course the most famous tanks of the war included the Tiger and the Panther for the Germans and the Sherman, M4, T28 and of course the SMK for the Allies.

Tanks in WW2 were the cause of many, many deaths. The number of people that were killed by tanks was actually very high but no one knows exactly how many of the 56,125,262 people that died was down to the tank.

Of course tanks played a very important part in the Cold War arms race as well as playing important roles in the wars that rage on today. There are tanks that have thier own fan accessories.
